Alopecia Baldness : There are many types of alopecia, each with a different cause. Alopecia may be localized to one area of the scalp or it may encompass the entire scalp and or body. Some of the more commonly known forms of alopecia include:

Alopecia Areata: A non-scarring, recurrent, form of hair loss that may occur in any hair bearing area. Areata is an organ specific auto immune disease, that is may present round or oval patches of hair loss.

Alopecia Totalis: Is the loss of all scalp hair.

Alopecia Universalis: Is the loss of hair over the entire scalp and body.
