I have been losing my hair since I was 19 years old. I once had a beautiful, thick head of hair that would get compliments all the time. The loss of my hair has also resulted in a loss of self-esteem and a constant fear of what I would do to remedy the problem. I felt ugly and looked older than my age. I met with several doctors who told me, "You are perfectly healthy, there is no explanation for your hair loss." I also tried medications, shampoos and powders; nothing worked. At 35 years old, I was hopeless. Once I decided to "take the plunge" to wear a wig, there were no resources available to educate, service and provide a product that I felt comfortable with; in fact, I was told lies, spent thousands of dollars on unacceptable products and services and was left hopeless.
I decided to visit Artemis one day and it CHANGED MY LIFE. Lenny and his staff provided premier education, service and most importantly, product. I had been to many different salons and wig distributors in the past who had given me bad information and product - Lenny and staff took the time to re-educate me, ultimately making it easy for me to trust their expertise.
The hair is unlike any I have ever been exposed to; the texture and fit LOOK LIKE A REAL HEAD OF HAIR. The variety of colors and the method in which the color is applied is that of a top tier salon. The service, I will call it "the CARE" that he and his staff take to make sure I am happy is beyond fantastic.
After my initial visit, I immediately called a friend with severe alopecia to rave about my experience. She has become a customer!

This salon changed my life. In July I was diagnosed with alopecia and by the end of September I had absolutely no hair left on my body. This was extremely emotional for me considering how unexpected and fast this happened. I am 22 and never heard of my condition or ever wore a wig. I searched for salons in Dallas, LA, and Houston and this was by far the best. Many of the places who sold these specialty wigs seem to capitalize on such desperation or either the salon was unkempt and out of style. This salon has amazing staff, building, as well as 5 star service. I am now able to resume my life as it once was without feeling insecure about wearing a "garment". I often forget . No one knows but I am more than happy to tell people who have experienced anything similar, because I know how painful it is to look in the mirror and not see the person who you want to in the mirror. I truly love the staff and I will never forget this experience and how they cried with me and made me look so amazing. I am so happy and thank you Artemis from the bottom of my heart!

I had many concerns when I learned I needed chemotherapy. Certainly I was concerned about my health and how I would handle the treatment, but I was also concerned about dealing with the emotions of losing my hair. A friend recommended I go to see Kitsa at Artemis Hair Studio and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Kitsa not only knows her trade well, but is passionate about helping cancer patients deal with the loss of their hair by preparing a beautiful, natural-looking “garment” for them to wear. I have worn my beautiful wig that Kitsa cut, highlighted and styled especially for me every day. When I first started wearing it even my very own sister didn’t realize I was wearing a wig. Recently a friend of my husbands who knew I was going through chemo told him that he was amazed that I still had all my hair. He didn’t realize I had been wearing a wig. Every day I am thankful that we made the choice to visit Artemis Hair Studio and to be helped by such a caring person like Kitsa.
